Comments:
PC Tel HSP56 MicroModem Driver. I just bought this modem at a local computer outlet store. It came with a new driver, which is newer than the Morris Cox's. My modem seems to work better than most or yours. I can connect at 49.3K almost every time although sometime it may take 2-3 tries. Another problem is that sometimes upon extended connections, the modem port just stop responding. I lowered the tx/rv buffers by a 1/4 to 1/2 each in the advanced port setting in the (control panel)-(system)-(modem)-(connections). This seems to help the modem port problem. You can give it a try. I did not use any modem string as some of you suggested. I will give it a try sometimes. Please provide any feedback on this new driver.
