US Robotics Sportster 0481 Modem Driver

US Robotics Sportster 0481 Driver. This modem was detected as being a U.S. Robotics x2 Winmodem FAX, it's marked on the card as a Sportster 0481 having a U.S. Robotics number 67269700 on it. Here are some other numbers on it to help find it in the search mode, 1224725-0001 21YZ69428045. I tried nearly every Winmodem driver I could find without any results. I let windows detect my modem and install it as a U.S. Robotics x2 Winmoden Fax without any drivers. I unzipped this file to a directory on my hard drive and then chose to update the driver in the device manager, it loaded the drivers automaticaly and was then detected as a U.S. Robotics 56K FAX Win INT. It works great and gets fast and stable connections. When I double clicked on the original device in the device manager I chose the option to "display a list of drivers in a specific location" the device was the only one in the windows and was already highlighted, I clicked "next" and it loaded without any problems. The modem diagnostics for windows brings up the blue screen of death, I just used the press any key to continue and the screen goes away. It works great with AOL, but for some reason the modem diagnostics don't work. The modem and driver work great however. I hope you have some luck using this driver, it was the only one I could find that made this modem work.
