Intel MD5628D-L-C Driver. Physically install modem. Run this file. Files will self-extract to C \modem. Then delete all unknown devices and old attempts to install the Ambient/Intel modem in the system folder of control panel. Then add modem software - pick com1. Suddenly your machine will find the modem and install the thing on another com port as modem#2. If you delete both them, it will find the modem again and put the appropriate com port. No wonder Ambient went out of business.
