US Robotics USR 56k Internal Voice Modem (Model 2976) Driver. I havea DUAL BOOT SYSTEM with Win98SE and Win2000 and an OEM USR Modem which was later Identified with US Robotics Modem Identification Wizard as 3Com (USR) 56K Int Voice Modem Model 2976 and ID 66297600.

I have installed this driver in

Win2000 Pro and Win98SE and working in both with no Error symbols in Device Manager.

Until this driver was installed Win2000 Device Manager showed + !Other devices> PCI Serial Device.

This is zipped with Power Archiver.

Download the file to a new named Folder [Example USR2976]created on your Desktop.

Unzip and Extract the Files to the same folder [USR2976]. click and copy the full path to the Folder containing the unzipped files in USR2976 folder.

In Win2000 Device Manager> + Other devices, Dbl-click on ! PCI Serial Device> Properties>Driver tab>Update Driver> In Upgrade Device Driver Wizard click Next> Click the radio button (Circle) Search for a suitable driver for my device[recommended]>Next>Click Check box of "Specify a location> in the "Copy manufacturer's files from " box paste the full path to the USR2976 you have already copied earlier and click OK.

This will install the driver.
