Compaq 1604 0r 4000 series Driver. Installation instructions for the Compaq Presario 336-VSC modem drivers.
File Contents: a) right-click on 'My Computer' and select 'Properties'.
b) select the 'Device Manager' tab.
c) double-click on the "Other devices" listing.
d) highlight the "Unknown Device" and select 'Remove", then 'Ok'.
e) click on the 'Refresh' button at the bottom of the dialog box.
f) when the 'New hardware found' dialog box comes up, select "Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacturer" and make sure the driver disk is inserted in the floppy drive.
g) make sure that 'A \' is highlighted and click OK. The modem should now install.
h) restart your computer.
