Motorola SM56 PCI Driver. For motorola PCI SM56,with AD04,AD05,OR ADO6,IN ATI* LINE RELEASED in August 2000, in add/remove, uninstall old sm56 driver,
File Contents: create C \SM56 folder,unzip to this folder,shutdown computer,remove modem,boot computer,then shutdown again,reinstall modem, restart computer,when modem looks for drivers, direct to C \SM56,to install drivers, reboot computer after total restart, you should have motorola SM56 modem, in control panel modems, with AD06 in diag. command line,this will work with previous AD04,ADO5,ADO6, if you still have connection problems,you may have to slow down your modem connection speed.
Try, E1+MS=V90,1,,,28000,36444 in the connection advanced, extra settings,besure to restart computer,again after you enter, this extra setting
