Comments:
Motorola sm56 pci speakerphone Driver. This is THE MOST useful site on the web. I respond in gratitude as it was a monumentally frustrating effort to reinstall this modem in Win 2000. I unzipped the files into a working directory (say, sm56pci) which I then pointed to in response to "have driver". I also unzipped the same files into a 'new' subdirectory named \motorola\smserial (the default created by the driver program) under the directory winnt. several uninstals, reboots and instals later, error messages stopped appearing. In other words, the files are all workable but, instaling them in the correct locations seems to be confounded by the normal win2k detection and loading program. Persistence is the key!!
