Comments:
To enable modem disconnect on call-waiting for Lucent Technologies Soft Modem AMR (IBM ThinkPad i Series 1300, etc?) for Windows XP/2000. First, get this (V.92 driver for the Lucent/Agere Soft Modem AMR) Toshiba Software Modem Driver v.SM2121ALL02 for Windows XP/2000; http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/s195zmdm2.exe
Next, unzip its contents to C:\modem.temp (the default path)
Then, go to your Windows control panel and double-click on System, choose Hardware tab, then Device Manager.
Locate and expand your installed Modems, double-click on your existing Lucent/Agere Soft Modem AMR driver to view its properties, choose Driver tab, then click on Update Driver.
You don't want any interference from Windows or Windows Update, so don't connect to the internet, etc, for this operation. Choose "install from a specific location." Choose "don't search, I will choose the driver to install." Click on Have Disk, copy manufacturer's files from C:\modem.temp (AGRMDwxp.inf)
You should now see TOSHIBA Software Modem listed under models, and you will probably get an Update Driver Warning, telling you this driver is not recommended for your hardware. If you're willing to assume all liability for this driver update, click Yes to continue. Once the TOSHIBA Software Modem driver is properly installed, viewing your modem driver properties in device manager should now display TOSHIBA Software Modem (Agere, 11/22/2002, v2.1.21.0). Click the (driver properties) Advanced tab and enter the following string under Extra initializaion commands:
AT+PCW=1
Click OK. Connect to your ISP and test. Good luck!
